Visiting Donnie's is about the FOOD!! Southern, soul and absolutely divine!! Don't be thinking presentation or atmosphere.....just think about THE best fried chicken and grits in all of Palm Beach County!! Crisp, flavorful - not greasy succulent and juicy on the inside.... just scrumptiousness in every bite!! ....the grits are creamy and full of flavor. What you can also count on is very friendly service! My friend had the fried pork chops and they were just as tasty as the fried chicken. Don't be in a rush....your food is made to order which is part of the Donnie's magic..sit back, relax.....fabulous food awaits you. Best kept secret but I'm letting it out of the bag as it's too good to keep it to myself.

Ate there yesterday for the first time. The food was wonderful. There were 5 of us so we ordered two combination plates and an order of the Smothered wings. There wasn't anything that we didn't like. I will definitely be going back.

Great service and great food. Food took a while to come out BUT that is b/c they make it fresh. It was worth every second of the wait. My brother said it was the best ribs he's ever eaten. The BBQ chicken I got was some of the best BBQ I've ever had as well. No joke. Sides are great too. Yams are something else. GO HERE.

Due to their amazing food and portions they automatically get a five! Their service really needs some work though. They are attentive, however, they lack a sense of urgency and they seem a bit too comfortable as if they were hanging out of work. It is almost as if you have to warm up to them before they speak to you. Weird! On to the food! YES! I have had just about everything on the menu. Everything is good. Donnie's must have's consist of: mac & cheese, collard greens, bake beans. Fried grouper and shrimp. The fish comes in a HUGE portion. Cool thing is, if you cant make up your mind like me, you can mix and match food. P.S DONT FORGET TO ORDER YOUR PARKER SPECIAL JUICE! THANK ME LATER!

Service could be faster, but the food is always consistently good. The candied yams are the bomb especially since there's no where else near buy to get them.

My mom likes chicken for breakfast, I we wanted something different. Donnie's can be intimidating if your use to a standard breakfast place. The service is not fast but they make everything from scratch. The food was amazing. And the fried chicken with breakfast was over the top. My mom loved the grits as well, the bacon was great. A really fun choice.

Read the reviews & was excited to give Donnie's a try. I thought because the food took so long to come out ( 40 minutes +), it would be piping hot. The food was luke warm & enough salt to give you a STROKE. Canned green beans with more salt seasoning (I can open a can at home), pigeon peas & rice was dry as If it was sitting from the day before, smothered pork chops( I asked if they were "center cut", they were not), again so freaking salty...it was a waste of my money & driving time. I brought the left over chop home & minced it up for my dog. I know what doctored up JIFFY CORN MUFFIN MIX tastes like, it wasn't even golden brown, but just cooked enough to say it was done. Our waitress Amber was very pleasant.

Server was nice, food was disappointing! Took over 45min to come out after being told fifteen minutes. Ordered chicken and ribs combo, after 45 minutes of waiting was served ribs and mac&cheese without chicken. Chicken came 5-10min later after I started eating. Ribs were tough and salty. Chicken was way over cooked and dry, not to mention salty! The best tasting part of the meal was the mac&cheese. Very disappointed. No exaggeration Popeyes fried chicken is way better.

9/21/12 - Had the fried chicken wing dinner that included Collard Greens and Mac N' Cheese. I went there based on a locals recommendation. This soul food joint was on the money!! I ended up going there again on Sunday! The Peach Cobbler and Sweet Potato Pie are homemade as well. Also, the wait staff was very courteous! If you ever get the chance to go to South Florida, please check out this restaurant! It's simply DELICIOUS!!!!!

Can you say Delicious, we had food catered for the 4th of July, being that our out of town guest was southerns, we thought Donnie's Place was prefect. Collard greens(no pork), Ribs, coleslaw, baked beans(no pork), our guest thought they were back home. The pricing was unbelievable, the taste was amazing. Donnie thank you for making our event a huge success, we love Donnie's Place.

Another great dining experience here. Ham and cheese omelet was hot and fluffy and the grits, again, are outstanding. I ordered a side of collard greens and was not disappointed. My wife had plain scrambled eggs, which were equally fluffy and good. Service is very good and, again, the place is immaculate.
